Can we exist without thoughts?

The Burden of Being

Thinking is inevitable.  But how do we organise this chaos?

The burden of being is a visual exploration of matter and form aiming at representing the power of thoughts.

Thoughts in their abstract forms have no weight. Yet, they impact the lives of the bearer and their surroundings.  The act of thinking can be either positive or negative; filled with problems or possibilities.

As Alan Watts puts it,

A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thoughts. So, he loses touch with reality and lives in a world of illusions.

How can such a microscopic detail of our being; something intangible and abstract, have the ability to transform reality?  Are these thoughts our own or were they inherited from forces beyond our control?
